AK45-10 V3.0 KV75 robotic actuator, 2.5 Nm rated and 7 Nm peak torque. 180 rpm no-load speed, 262 g.
The AK45-10 V3.0 is a compact robotic actuator that combines the motor, a 10:1 planetary gearbox and the driver in a single 53 mm housing. The key change in V3.0 is the dual encoder design. Single-turn absolute position is kept even after power loss, so the joint does not need to be homed at startup.
Typical applications include humanoid robot wrist and hand joints, small robot arms, compact automation mechanisms and R&D projects where losing position at startup is not acceptable.
The AK45-10 V3.0 delivers 2.5 Nm continuous and 7 Nm peak torque. For example, a 1 kg load at the end of a 20 cm arm needs about 2 Nm of static torque (1 × 9.81 × 0.20). That load stays within the actuator's rated torque.
It runs on 24 V, with a no-load speed of 180 rpm and a rated speed of 120 rpm. The output bearing has a dynamic load rating of 2,810 N and a static load rating of 2,760 N. If you need a faster, lighter joint the AK40-10 V3.0 may be a better fit, and if you need more torque, the AK45-36 V3.0.
Is the driver included?
Yes. The driver board, both encoders and the planetary gearbox are inside the housing. The box includes a power and CAN cable and a serial communication cable.
How is it different from the previous AK45-10?
V3.0 has dual encoders and remembers its single-turn absolute position after power loss. The previous version has a single encoder and has to find its reference point at every startup. Torque figures are the same, and the V3.0 housing is 2.2 mm longer.
How much gearbox backlash is there?
According to the manufacturer, 18 arcminutes, or about 0.3 degrees.
Can it be turned by hand?
Yes. Backdrive torque is about 0.1 Nm, so the joint moves easily by hand when unpowered.
Box size 89 x 91 x 73 mm.
To configure and test the actuator from a computer, see the R-LINK V3.0 USB to CAN adapter.

In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
