RI80 V2.0 KV75 frameless inrunner torque motor, 1.45 Nm rated and 4.1 Nm peak torque. 2,960 rpm no-load speed, 411 g.
The RI80 V2.0 is a frameless inrunner torque motor with a direct drive architecture. The rotor connects directly to the load, with no gears or belts in between.
Typical applications include robot arm joints, precision rotary platforms, gimbal systems, medical device drives and modular actuator designs that need high torque in a small space.
The RI80 V2.0 is a frameless torque motor. The bearing, encoder and driver are part of your design. It delivers 1.45 Nm continuous and 4.1 Nm peak torque from a body 27 mm tall. The 40.5 mm center bore leaves plenty of room for cables and shafts.
In direct drive it suits rotary tables and precision positioners, and with no gears there is no backlash. In robot joints it is usually paired with a gearbox. For example, with a 50:1 harmonic drive you get about 72 Nm of continuous torque at the output, excluding losses.
Is the driver included?
No. With frameless motors the driver, encoder and bearing are chosen by the user. You need a FOC driver that can deliver at least 9.4 A continuous.
What voltages does it run on?
It can run on 24, 36 and 48 V. At those voltages the no-load speed is about 1,480, 2,220 and 2,960 rpm respectively.
Does it have a Hall sensor?
The Hall sensor is optional. The rotor is designed with the height needed to align precisely with Hall sensors.
What is its torque constant?
Kt is about 0.155 Nm/A. Around 9.4 A of phase current is needed for the 1.45 Nm rated torque.
Box size 137 x 134 x 74 mm.
Frameless motors are designed in by the user together with the flange, bearing, encoder and driver. The stator mounts to the fixed structure and the rotor to the rotating shaft. Because this leaves the whole mechanical interface to the designer, intermediate transmission parts such as gears or belts are not needed.

In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
