AK10-9 V2.0 KV60 robotic actuator, 18 Nm rated and 48 Nm peak torque. 320 rpm no-load speed, 960 g.
The AK10-9 V2.0 is a robotic actuator that combines a brushless DC motor, a 9:1 planetary gearbox, dual encoders and the driver in one housing. Because no separate driver board or encoder has to be mounted, it simplifies joint design.
Typical applications include robot joint systems, humanoid robots, collaborative robots, legged robot platforms, AGV and AMR systems, medical devices and university R&D projects.
The AK10-9 V2.0 delivers 18 Nm continuous and 48 Nm peak torque. For example, a 4 kg load at the end of a 40 cm arm needs about 15.7 Nm of static torque (4 × 9.81 × 0.40). That load stays within the actuator's rated torque.
This torque class suits the hips and knees of humanoid robots, the legs of load-carrying quadruped robots and exoskeletons. Joint speed reaches up to 26 rad/s, so it also allows dynamic motion under load.
What is the difference between V2.0 and V3.0?
In V3.0 peak torque rises from 48 to 53 Nm and weight drops from 960 to 940 g. Rated torque and no-load speed are the same.
What is the dual encoder for?
There are two encoders, one on the motor side and one at the output shaft. The output encoder reads the real joint angle independently of gearbox backlash.
How much gearbox backlash is there?
According to the manufacturer, 0.33 degrees.
Which control modes does it have?
Depending on the application, you can choose between force control and servo drive mode.

In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
