AK80-64 KV80 robotic actuator, 48 Nm rated and 120 Nm peak torque. 75 rpm no-load speed, 850 g.
The AK80-64 is the highest-reduction model in the series. Its 64:1 planetary gearbox delivers high peak torque in demanding dynamic tasks.
Typical applications include heavy-load robot joints, large robot arms, industrial automation mechanisms and R&D projects that need high torque.
With 48 Nm continuous and 120 Nm peak torque, the AK80-64 is the most powerful model in the AK series. For example, an 8 kg load at the end of a 50 cm arm needs about 39 Nm of static torque (8 × 9.81 × 0.50). That load stays within the actuator's rated torque.
Because of the 64:1 reduction, no-load speed is 75 rpm, or about 450 degrees per second. It suits places where torque matters more than speed, such as the shoulders of heavy-load robot arms, lifting mechanisms and knee joints. Its torque-to-weight ratio of 141 Nm per kilogram stands out in designs that want the same torque from a lighter body.
Can it do force control?
Yes. You can switch between force control and servo control.
How much gearbox backlash is there?
According to the manufacturer, 0.18 degrees.
Is the driver included?
Yes. The driver board is inside the housing. The box includes a power cable, a CAN cable and a serial communication cable.
What else do I need for setup?
The R-Link interface is used for parameter setup, and for multi-axis setups the Driver Board and Wiring Package products can be used.
To complete your setup, see the R-Link, Driver Board and Wiring Package products.

In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
