AK45-10 KV75 robotic actuator, 2.5 Nm rated and 7 Nm peak torque. 180 rpm no-load speed, 260 g.
The AK45-10 is a robotic actuator that offers high power density in a compact body. It combines a 10:1 planetary gearbox, the driver and the encoder in one housing.
Typical applications include humanoid robot wrist and hand joints, small robot arms, compact automation mechanisms and R&D projects where weight is critical.
The AK45-10 delivers 2.5 Nm continuous and 7 Nm peak torque from a 260 g body. For example, a 1 kg load at the end of a 20 cm arm needs about 2 Nm of static torque (1 × 9.81 × 0.20). That load stays within the actuator's rated torque.
At 53 mm in diameter and with a 24 V operating voltage it suits humanoid robot wrists and hands, small robot arms and desktop robots. Its no-load speed is 180 rpm. If you need a faster small joint the AK40-10 may be a better fit, and if you need more torque, the AK45-36.
Is the driver included?
Yes. The driver board, a 14-bit magnetic encoder and the planetary gearbox are inside the housing. The box includes a power and CAN cable and a serial communication cable.
What voltage does it run on?
Its rated voltage is 24 V. At that voltage its no-load speed is 180 rpm.
How much gearbox backlash is there?
According to the manufacturer, 18 arcminutes, or about 0.3 degrees.
Can it be turned by hand?
Yes. Backdrive torque is about 0.1 Nm, so the joint moves easily by hand when unpowered.

In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
