SW17 underwater thruster, at least 17 kgf of static thrust. 1,350 g.
The SW17 is the highest-thrust model in the series, developed for mid-size unmanned marine vehicles and electric water sports. Its precision cast aluminum housing combines light weight and strength.
Typical applications include mid-size unmanned surface vehicles, electric surf and e-foil solutions, handheld underwater thrusters and compact marine automation.
The SW17 is the most powerful underwater thruster in the series, with at least 17 kgf of static (bollard) thrust. This value is measured with the thruster stationary, and thrust drops as the vehicle speeds up. When choosing a thruster, take into account the water resistance at the vehicle's target speed. Using two SW17 units together gives at least 34 kgf of static thrust in total.
It runs at 48 V with 870 W of continuous power. It weighs 1,350 g in air and 775 g in water. It suits unmanned marine vehicles that carry heavy loads, electric surfboards and e-foil solutions. It can be used at depths between 0 and 30 meters.
Is the driver included?
No. The thruster runs with an external ESC. CubeMars recommends the TW-80A-12S ESC for this model.
What voltage does it run on?
The rated voltage is 48 V. 12-cell lithium battery packs fall in this voltage range.
How large is the propeller?
106 mm. The propeller is aluminum alloy and the nozzle is POM.
Does it need maintenance after use?
Especially after use in seawater, rinse the thruster with fresh water. The operating temperature is 0 to 40 °C.
Box size Ø150 x 290 mm.

Yes. Tell us the torque, speed and supply voltage you need, and we will find the right series together. You can also compare using the specifications table on this page and the filters on the category page.
Robotizma is an official CubeMars distributor. Every product we sell is genuine and covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
The Specifications section on this page lists rated torque, peak torque, KV, no-load speed, weight and outer dimensions. If you need the detailed datasheet, CAD file or driver documentation, ask our technical team.
We sell to universities, industry and R&D projects. For volume pricing and a formal quote, fill in the Request a quote form on this page and our team will reply with price and delivery details.
In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
