RO50 KV108 Lite frameless torque motor, 0.3 Nm rated and 0.9 Nm peak torque. 2600 rpm no-load speed, 105 g.
The RO50 KV108 Lite is one of the caseless outrunner frameless torque motors in the RO series without Hall sensors. It is 61.7 mm in diameter and only 14.5 mm high, and it delivers 0.9 Nm peak torque from 105 g. It keeps the electromagnetic design of the RO series and runs smoothly even at very low speeds.
Typical applications include robot arm and leg joints, camera and sensor gimbals, compact actuators with harmonic gearboxes and non-standard automation equipment.
The RO50 KV108 Lite delivers 0.3 Nm rated and 0.9 Nm peak torque. For example, a 0.5 kg load with a 5 cm offset needs about 0.25 Nm of static torque (0.5 × 9.81 × 0.05). That load stays within the motor's rated torque. For heavier loads the motor is used with a gearbox, and output torque rises with the reduction ratio.
It runs on 24 V, with a no-load speed of 2600 rpm and a rated speed of 2100 rpm. Rated current is 3.4 A, peak current is 9.3 A and maximum continuous power is 66 W. If a lighter motor is enough the RO40 KV140 Lite may be a better fit, and if you need more torque, the RO60Lite-KV115.
Are the driver and encoder included?
No. A frameless motor consists only of a stator and a rotor. The driver, encoder and gearbox are chosen by the user for the project.
Does it have Hall sensors?
No. The Lite version has no Hall sensor and no temperature sensor. An encoder should be used for commutation and position, and the driver should support FOC control.
Does it run on 24 V or 48 V?
Rated voltage is 24 V. The speed, current and torque figures in the table are given for 24 V.
Box size 89 x 91 x 73 mm.

In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
