Debugging interface compatible only with AK V3.0 series motors. Supports AK60-6 V3.0, AK70-9, AK80-9 V3.0, AK10-9 V3.0, AKA60-6 and AKA10-9.
The R-Link V3.0 is the configuration and debugging interface for CubeMars AK V3.0 series actuators. It connects the motor to a computer for parameter setup and operating status monitoring.
It works with AK series actuators that have the V3.0 driver board and with the AKH series. The compatible models on our site are listed below.
According to CubeMars, the AKA60-6, the AKA10-9 and the V3.0 versions of the AK40-10, AK45-10 and AK45-36 are also compatible. It is not compatible with V2.1 and V2.2 driver boards, and those actuators need the R-Link.
The R-Link V3.0 is a USB to serial converter. It connects to the computer over USB and to the actuator with the serial communication cable in the box. It runs on 5 V, measures 73.8 × 23.6 × 14.5 mm and weighs 14 g.
It is used together with the CubeMars TOOL V3.0 PC software. Encoder calibration, CAN ID assignment, PID tuning and calibration of the position, torque and speed loops are done from this software.
What is in the box?
Along with the module you get two 4-pin DuPont cables and a serial debug cable.
Is the R-Link V3.0 required to drive the actuator?
Not for daily operation, the actuator is driven over CAN by its own control board. The module is needed for first setup, calibration and debugging.
Where do I download the software?
The CubeMars TOOL V3.0 software and the AK V3.0 driver user manual are published free on the manufacturer's site. If you need help with installation, you can write to our technical team.

In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
