G80 KV30 gimbal motor, 1 Nm rated and 2.9 Nm peak torque. 650 rpm no-load speed, 315 g.
The G80 KV30 is the low-speed winding of the CubeMars G80 gimbal motor. On 24 V it delivers 1 Nm rated and 2.9 Nm peak torque and weighs 315 g. For the G80 the manufacturer states 0.01° precision and a high slot-fill winding. The motor has no driver board and is used with an external FOC driver.
Typical applications include gimbals for cinema cameras and heavy lenses, vehicle-mounted stabilized camera and sensor turrets, large radar heads and autonomous driving perception platforms.
The G80 KV30 delivers 1 Nm continuous and 2.9 Nm peak torque. On a gimbal motor the torque demand is mostly set by how far the center of gravity of the load sits from the axis. For example, a 3 kg camera and lens with its center of gravity 3 cm off the axis needs about 0.88 Nm of static torque (3 × 9.81 × 0.03). That stays within the rated torque but leaves little margin, so improving the balance or moving to the G100 KV10 is worth considering.
At 24 V the no-load speed is 650 rpm and the rated speed 450 rpm. Rated current is 2.8 A, peak current 8.2 A and the torque constant 0.356 Nm/A. For a faster axis, look at the KV60 winding of the same housing.
Should I choose KV30 or KV60?
Both windings have the same rated and peak torque. The KV30 gives that torque with half the current (2.8 A against 5.6 A) and suits slow, precise axes. The KV60 turns faster at 1300 rpm no-load.
Is a driver included?
No. The product page lists the driver board option as "no". The motor is used with an external FOC gimbal driver.
What is the difference between the G80 and the GL80?
The electrical figures on both pages are the same. The GL80 page states IP45 protection and the motor size. The G80 page gives no dimensions, so check the 2D drawing PDF for mounting dimensions.
Can a slip ring be fitted?
Yes. The large center hole is designed for slip ring integration and cable routing.
The manufacturer does not publish a detailed packing list or box size on the G80 page. Ask our team about cables and mounting parts before ordering.

The Specifications section on this page lists rated torque, peak torque, KV, no-load speed, weight and outer dimensions. If you need the detailed datasheet, CAD file or driver documentation, ask our technical team.
We sell to universities, industry and R&D projects. For volume pricing and a formal quote, fill in the Request a quote form on this page and our team will reply with price and delivery details.
In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
