G80 KV60 gimbal motor, 1 Nm rated and 2.9 Nm peak torque. 1300 rpm no-load speed, 315 g.
The G80 KV60 is the fast winding of the CubeMars G80 gimbal motor. It delivers the same 1 Nm rated and 2.9 Nm peak torque as the KV30, but provides that torque at a rated speed of 1010 rpm on 24 V. Its no-load speed is 1300 rpm. For the G80 the manufacturer states 0.01° precision and a high slot-fill winding. The 315 g motor has no driver board and is used with an external FOC driver.
Typical applications include continuously rotating radar and lidar heads, fast slewing vehicle-mounted sensor turrets, tracking cameras and autonomous driving perception modules that sweep a wide angle quickly.
The G80 KV60 delivers 1 Nm continuous and 2.9 Nm peak torque. On rotating heads and gimbals the torque demand is mostly set by how far the center of gravity of the load sits from the axis. For example, a 2.5 kg sensor head with its center of gravity 3 cm off the axis needs about 0.74 Nm of static torque (2.5 × 9.81 × 0.03). That load stays within the rated torque.
Rated current is 5.6 A, peak current 16.3 A and the torque constant 0.178 Nm/A, so the driver and power supply should be sized for these currents. If the axis turns slowly, the G80 KV30 gives the same torque with less current.
What is the difference between KV60 and KV30?
The torque figures and the housing are the same. The KV60 turns faster (1300 rpm no-load against 650 rpm for the KV30), in return it draws more current for the same torque (5.6 A against 2.8 A).
Is a driver included?
No. The product page lists the driver board option as "no". The motor is used with an external FOC driver that must handle the 16.3 A peak current.
Can it rotate continuously through 360 degrees?
The motor is brushless and the large center hole is suited to a slip ring. With signal and power routed through a slip ring the axis can rotate continuously.
What are its dimensions?
The manufacturer does not give dimensions on the G80 page. Check the 2D drawing PDF and the CAD model for mounting dimensions.
The manufacturer does not publish a detailed packing list or box size on the G80 page. Ask our team about cables and mounting parts before ordering.
Our team can help you choose a high-current driver, an encoder and a slip ring.

The Specifications section on this page lists rated torque, peak torque, KV, no-load speed, weight and outer dimensions. If you need the detailed datasheet, CAD file or driver documentation, ask our technical team.
We sell to universities, industry and R&D projects. For volume pricing and a formal quote, fill in the Request a quote form on this page and our team will reply with price and delivery details.
In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
