DW25 underwater thruster, at least 25 kgf static thrust and 350 m operating depth. 48 V, 1315 W, 1790 g.
The DW25 is the most powerful thruster in the DW series. Designed for medium to large ROVs and AUVs, it produces at least 25 kgf of static thrust at a rated 48 V with about 1315 W of continuous power, and works down to 350 meters. It is the highest-thrust option CubeMars offers for power-hungry heavy missions and complex marine environments.
Typical applications include large unmanned underwater platforms, medium and large ROVs, underwater salvage and inspection vehicles, scientific survey AUVs, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and electric surfboards.
A single DW25 delivers at least 25 kgf of static thrust. For example, if two DW25 units on a vehicle face straight forward, forward static thrust is at least 50 kgf. This leaves more margin than the DW20 for high-drag hulls or vehicles working against a current. Actual speed depends on the vehicle's drag and tether load.
The housing measures Ø152 x 191 mm and weighs 1790 g, about 995 g in water. The propeller is Ø126 mm and the motor rotor has 20 poles. Operating temperature is 0 °C to 40 °C. If your thrust need is around 20 kgf, the lower-power DW20 may be enough.
Which ESC does it work with?
The DW25 runs with an external driver. The pairing CubeMars recommends is the TW-80A-12S underwater ESC, which is also compatible with the SW17 and DW20.
How should the power supply be sized?
The thruster runs on a rated 48 V and draws about 1315 W continuously. Battery and cable gauge should be chosen with the number of thrusters running at the same time in mind. Our team can support you with power system design.
Can it be used in seawater?
Yes. The housing resists corrosion and the sealing design keeps seawater out of the motor chamber. The manufacturer recommends rinsing with clean water after each use.
Are mounting parts included?
Yes. The box contains two mounting bases, a connecting rod and screws in three sizes. CubeMars also publishes a 3D drawing of a shared mounting bracket for the DW20 and DW25.
Box size Ø175 x 295 mm.
The ESC pairing CubeMars recommends for the DW25 is the TW-80A-12S underwater ESC set. Our team can support you with battery, control and vehicle integration.

In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
