RO60 KV115 frameless outrunner torque motor, 0.8 Nm rated and 2.4 Nm peak torque. 5,520 rpm no-load speed, 248 g.
The RO60 is a frameless outrunner torque motor. It gives fast response and stability on compact robot platforms.
Typical applications include exoskeletons, collaborative robot arms, medical devices and aerospace applications.
The RO60 is a frameless torque motor. The bearing, encoder and driver are part of your design. It delivers 0.8 Nm continuous and 2.4 Nm peak torque from a body weighing 248 g. Its wide hollow shaft lets you pass cables, run a drive shaft through it or connect it directly to a gearbox.
In direct drive it is enough for camera axes and light rotary platforms. In robot joints it is usually paired with a gearbox. For example, with a 10:1 planetary gearbox you get about 8 Nm of continuous torque at the output, excluding losses.
Is the driver included?
No. With frameless motors the driver, encoder and bearing are chosen by the user. You need a 48 V FOC driver with Hall input that can deliver at least 8.5 A continuous.
How does it differ from the Lite version?
Torque and speed values are the same. The standard version is 53 g heavier, 8 mm thicker and has higher rotor inertia (1,161 g·cm²). Higher inertia smooths out speed fluctuations.
Which sensors does it have?
Hall sensors and a temperature sensor are inside the motor and provide position and temperature feedback.
What is in the box?
Along with the motor you get a Ø1.8 × 8 mm locating pin and six M3 × 5 mm screws.
Box size 89 x 91 x 73 mm.
In frameless outrunner motors the rotor turns on the outside, which gives more torque at the same diameter. The flange, bearing, encoder and driver are designed by the user. Thanks to the wide hollow shaft, cables can pass along the axis.

In the AK and AKH series actuators the driver board is built into the motor and communicates over CAN. The AKE series and the frameless RI and RO series motors need an external FOC driver. The R-Link and S-Link interfaces are for setup and debugging, and we can support you during installation.
